Meredith, Jessi, and Margeaux busily preparing for the big 4th of July parade in Skagway, Alaska. Meredith is holding about 25 balloons. I think she is wondering how to undo the enormous knot. Jessi is the Golden Lady Liberty. She and DonNelson (our honorary madam) were the stars of the parade. He dressed up as Uncle Sam and they got married in front of the whole crowd. Margeaux and I served as bridesmaids. We did the step-together-step-together move all down broadway. I felt like I was six-years-old again, but in a good way. There were six more participants in the our parade "float": Johanna, Rachel, Heather, Cori, Liz, and the awesome 1959 Red Onion Cadillac. My incredibly helpful mom went shopping for all the swag (balloons, gold body paint, boas, beads, bow ties, hats, and decor), and shipped it express to Skagway, arriving just in time for the main event. It was pouring rain and very cold, but the gorgeous madams pulled off a classy strut. I desperately miss all those madams...
