100 desires

Couldn't resist posting a hundredth blog post. ONE HUNDRED?! Wow.

With my 100 posts for my one reader, I feel the urge to share my 100 desires. Well, make that 10 desires, but I hope to fulfill them all with a gusto. I am already looking forward new year's resolutions, and I might get a jump start on a few.

So here goes.

My 1 reader gets to read my 10 desires on my post numero 100:

10. Sew a skirt. Perhaps this one.

9. Enter one or two knitted items in the Southeast Alaska State Fair.

8. Get out of freakin' debt.

7. Maintain a healthy lifestyle. Like not eating a bazillion cookies. Or not staying inside all day long when it's gloriously sunny out. Or not gossiping like mad about people who are probably dealing with a lot more problems than I am.

6. Establish a point of view within my blog. I know my blog is scattered, but I would love to expand my number of readers. I am addicted to and continually inspired by some amazing blogs, and I would like to have a similar impact.

5. Cook. I know that I bake cookies, and feel like I've mastered the art of all things cookie. But I would love to just spontaneously whip something up. Jeff is an incredible cook, and he hardly ever uses recipes. It is pretty amazing to watch him. I am getting into throwing together a good egg scramble with some leftovers, but I know it's time to get a little dirty in the kitchen.

4. Make my own font.

3. Save my dollars for a real camera. Don't get me wrong, I love my little point and shoot, but what about a little Rebel with all the accessories, that I could carry around in this beauty?

2. Keep myself from buying books and DVDs. I have netflix and a library card. I need to remember that when I see a shiny cookbook or a TV series at Costco.

1. Say YES. To almost everything. Establishing roots in a new community is all about saying yes. Joining a knitting circle full of mere acquaintances, signing up for a sycronized ice skating group, or singing in a choir full of strangers are all activities that I think of excuses not to do. But if I don't get off my butt, and join in the fun, I will miss out.

Now, as my wise father would say,

"J U S T D O I T"

  1. If I were to create a top 10 desires list right now, it would be very much like yours. :)

  2. I always read your little old blog. I love hearing about Alaska from someone besides Sarah. Maybe you ought to run for governor?? (And congratulations on finding a guy who cooks.)
