Voice

I spend hours a day sitting and listening. I perch wearing headphones that blare the Alaska legislators' discussions and debates of Alaska's interests. I am required to interpret, and write what they say without judgment. I  listen to endless testimony about post-conviction DNA testing, or the pressures to explore and develop new oil and gas reserves, or the problem of alcoholism and mental health in Alaska, or even some well-meaning legislators feelings about "the former governor." I consider my job an education. How better could I understand Alaska, than through the literal voice of its leaders?
Today, as I listened to, and construed each person's point of view, I thought about my lil blog. I am toying over my point of view, theme, blah blah blah. And I don't want my blog to just be blah blah blah. I want impact.  Especially through expression, reflection, understanding, and acceptance.

As I take in my day to day life, and wonder what I have to offer. Like my leaders here in AK, I want to be heard, and make a difference. Although, mine won't be about whether to build a billion dollar gas pipeline. :)

Since my life is currently happily simple, I have time for a little blog-spiration. I am signing up for two E-courses. The first is by the endlessly inspiring Elsiecake from A Beautiful Mess. She is offering a blog love seminar, that I can't wait to devour. Her blog is gorgeous and invigorating, and I can't wait do partake of her wisdom. There is also an incredible deal right now for cyber Monday. All these incredible business seminars for only $97! I am hungry for more education. I'm all in.

Happy Cyber Monday!
